A Special Birthday

Last week my grandfather celebrated his 85th birthday so we got together for a little celebration. I'm so glad that we live nearby to share these special moments, and that my grandparents can watch their great-grandsons grow up.

Here is my nephew Michael, who is quite a ham.

Ryan loves balloons. (He was sick, so he wasn't in the mood for smiling.)

Ryan + Halloween + Studio Lights = Cuteness Overload

The masses have spoken and I realize that I haven't been good about posting new pictures of Ryan. So when I had to test a lighting setup for an event tomorrow, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get some shots of Ryan in his Halloween costume. Unfortunately I can't show you the behind-the-scenes ordeal involved in getting him in this lion suit but, trust me, it wasn't pretty. Luckily he gave a few smiles while in it.

I think he was trying to tell me that he was getting hot. Subtle, very subtle.

Carolyn wanted to take some of me and Ryan. We're still working on her focusing, but this should give you an idea...

The suit didn't last long...

I can't believe how big he is already.

If you look closely, you can see some teeth just about ready to poke out.
